Useful tips for your next transfer

Take the opportunity to discard all those things that you have been accumulating and you don’t need any more: you can donate your used clothes and books to a charity.
If you already have a residence at destination, make sure that all your furniture will fit in the new place.
Check your utility contracts, associations, registrations with clubs or magazines in order to cancel everything within the established timeframes.
We advise you to keep a copy of all your documentation.
Jewellery and money must travel with you, as insurance companies don’t cover these losses.
Start emptying your fridge and freezer in order to avoid unnecessary expenses.
If you have tools containing flammable fluids, empty them to avoid accidents during the transport.
Separate all the objects, clothes, documents that you will need to take with you.

Make also a list of all the things you will need to use straight away (clothes, towels, children’s toys, cooking utensils, pet’s food…) so that we have everything ready for you at the time of delivery.
We will disassemble and pack all your furniture with extreme care, you don’t have to do it yourself.
You can take pictures of your furniture to make sure they arrive at destination in perfect conditions.
If you are moving to another country, check that your electrical appliances are compatible with the voltage of the destination country.
We pack everything to ensure an adequate protection and we prepare an inventory of all the furniture and packages. Insurance companies will only cover any damage if the personal effects have been packed by professionals.

In case you decide to pack your boxes, remember to pack first those things you will use less; use the appropriate boxes not to overload them and to avoid damages: small boxes for the books and heavy objects, do not mix liquids with other objects to avoid spilling and damaging your clothes.
If you have the possibility of choosing the period when your removal will take place, choose loo season terms to reduce the costs. Summertime is the season when more removals take place; if you need for your removal to be done during the summer, we recommend you to book your date in advance to guarantee that we will perform the service on your preferred date.
If you prefer to pack your personal objects yourself, we can provide you with the boxes you will need in advance. Don’t forget to number the boxes and make a list of what you placed in each box. Put big labels on each box to indicate its content and the room where we should place it in the new residence.
